Setup required: add your Firebase web app configuration in the code, then sign in.

Firebase sign in

Sign in with an account enabled in your Firebase project's Authentication → Email/Password. This app stores records in Firestore, not just in this device's browser.

Section and students

CSV headers: Roll No, Student Name (or Name), and optional Section. Without a Section column, students go to the currently selected section. Uploading skips matching duplicate names/rolls.

Fine categories / columns

Fine amount: Rs. 0 or a whole amount from Rs. 5 to Rs. 20. Renaming/deleting a category affects both sections. Deleting a category removes its recorded amounts.

Database and backup

Cloud data is stored in Firestore at class5FineTracker/main. Download a JSON backup regularly. If you already used an earlier local-only version, use “Import local browser data” on this device to migrate it once the database is connected.
